"I had found a potential bedroom dresser and chest on Wayfair, but for furniture that is not black, I often want to see it in person. I found Flamingo from the many good reviews here and went to the website. Low and behold - they had the set! And off I set down 5th avenue.

Wynn found us minutes after walking through the door and was helpful guiding us through the many pieces of furniture on the floor. While the piece I wanted wasn't exactly there, there was another piece that was. I got to see the color and felt good about it. Wynn agreed to honor the website prices (often cheaper) and with the 10% off deal, this was by far the best price for these two pieces that I had seen - including Wayfair.

Waiting to get the furniture delivered and assembled (oh so glad the days of putting things together are behind me) - so will update if anything goes wrong there. I will say that there's a 7-10 day order period, so if you're looking to have something ready for that evening this may not be the place for you."

"So, I've recently moved. This means that I've been an unapologetic creep when it comes to buying stuff for my apartment.

For weeks, I've been creeping on IKEA, CB2, Room & Board, Pier 1, Raymour & Flanagan (sp?) etc... Taking pictures and walking away, asking around, and looking up reviews. Creep.com.

Anyhow, for me it wasn't just the value of the furniture, but I'm really particular about customer service. After falling in like with a few pieces of furniture at the above-mentioned places of business, I'd be horrified upon reading some of their reviews on Yelp. Yeah, I know there's a skew attributed to unhappy people who hate life, but who needs unreliable delivery, etc. in their lives?

So in came Flamingo Furniture. It's like a giant pink elephant in the room that is Sunset Park. I had some reservations, but Yelp mollified some of them, and they were pretty much eradicated after seeing what they had to offer and the very exceptional help provided by Wynn. He answered all of my (and my mother's) questions, and was very transparent about the entire process. When discussing my concerns about delivery, as it was to Queens, he personally vouched for how great a business Flamingo Furniture was, and that he was completely accessible should there be any concerns.

And there you have it: I purchased a few pieces of furniture and so far, so good. The delivery guys were great too, especially since I live in a 4th floor walk up. I think I put "sorry" on the purchase order when asked if I had an elevator. They did forget to deliver a counter height table the day everything else arrived, but Diana was incredibly prompt, professional, and made sure to work with me on getting it delivered on another date.

Did you know flamingos are monogamous and only lay one egg a year? I think I'm done creeping for furniture for the rest of the year. But in 2015..."

"I was coming into this store 30 minutes before they were closing and wanted to buy a bunch of stuff. They were super accommodating.

It only took a few minutes before I found a couch I liked and wanted. The second floor was already closed and the lights had been turned off, but Wynn (my amazing salesman!) took me up there and I quickly found a bedroom set I wanted. The only other thing I wanted was an entertainment consul and they didn't have any I wanted so he helped me pick one from the catalog. He was awesome.

When the delivery guys arrived a week later on the date I requested, they were on time and assembled everything quickly and efficiently.

I would definitely shop here again."

"We were assisted by Wynn who was very friendly and accommodating and not pushy like most sales associates that I've dealt with in the past. He took his time when answering questions and we felt very comfortable. We pretty much purchased everything for our apartment from this store, from the living room set to dining and bedroom. We couldn't be happier with the quality and craftsmanship of the pieces. Remember if you do not see something on the floor, take a look through the catalogs, and I'm sure you'll find something you'll like as the number of options is vast. We'll definitely be back!"

"Still five stars! We got our furniture delivered within a week. Everything was assembled and set up just where we wanted it. They were quick and made sure to take the trash/boxes with them. We noticed a couple defects with the furniture. Nothing that was a huge deal, but we called Flamingo and told them about our issues. They sent someone out the next day to see if they could fix the problems, or if they'd have to replace the pieces of furniture for us. Sure enough, they needed to order new pieces. A week later the new furniture arrived and they took away the pieces that were defective. Now we're happy happy happy!"

"I had an incredibly wonderful time at Flamingo Furniture. I was looking for a sofa for my small living room... with really specific dimensions and they had an amazing selection to accommodate my needs. Everyone I interacted with was extremely helpful and nice. Such a refreshing experience. Wynn was particularly helpful - he's so great! On delivery day, they were wonderful. They called in the morning and told me the time they estimated their arrival, and were prompt, polite and fast. I couldn't have asked for a better furniture shopping experience! 5 Stars for sure."

"I recently moved to a smaller place and had to purchase a bunk bed quickly. I was looking for a durable bunk bed at a reasonable price. I searched the web and visited mutiple stores. I went online and looked for reviews. At the time Flamingo Furniture had mixed reviews so, I decided to check them out myself.From the moment I walked in the store I was taken care of. I was eyeing a bunk bed for weeks so, I decided to go in for pricing and measurements. Once I got home it turned out that the bunk bed I wanted wasn't the right fit. I visited the store once more to see if they had something else. I was greeted by the store owner and much to my surprise he took care of me himself instead of passing me to someone else. He listened, took his time, and wasn't pushy at all. He was genuinely concerned about me purchasing the right bunk bed for my situation. After I went home and confirmed it would fit in my space I placed the order with him immediately along with a mattress and I received my bunk bed by the end of that week just like he said.The delivery was awesome! The guys built the bunk bed in less than 30 minutes. I couldn't believe it. They were in and out and just like that I was done and ready to move on with the rest of my move.A couple of days after that I realized I would need an additional mattress because, my old mattress was too thick for the bunk bed. I visited the store once more and was greeted by the owners son. He was so outgoing and just happy to be of service. I placed my order right away and had my mattress a couple of days later.I've heard horrible stories of furniture stores with pushy salesman and deliveries that took more than a month to arrive. I wasn't looking forward to purchasing furniture but, thanks to the staff at Flamingo Furniture I was pleasantly surprised. Not only would I recommend them I will go to them first if I ever need to purchase additional furniture."
